ES Cells

Pluripotent stem cells produced by extracting the inner cell mass from a blastocyst (which can potentially develop into a fetus and eventually into a human) and culturing it in vitro. One key feature of pluripotent stem cells is their ability to differentiate into virtually all cell types that constitute the human body, a property known as pluripotency.
